Hi! I’m Natalie, and I want to personally welcome you to The Faulkner House!

To me, a home is a collection of stories told through things both old and new. It’s a piece passed down through generations sitting beside something recently found, a well-loved treasure paired with a fresh coat of paint, and rooms that slowly become more meaningful with time.

My love for decorating comes from the women in my life. They taught me that making a home beautiful isn’t about following every trend or spending a fortune. It’s about creating warmth, finding beauty in what you already have, and surrounding your family with things that feel personal.

I’m a creative at heart, a lover of writing and decorating, and a self-proclaimed DIYer. My biggest flaw—or perhaps my greatest strength—is believing I can do anything I put my mind to. That confidence has led to plenty of ambitious projects, lessons learned the hard way, and transformations I’m proud to call my own.

The Faulkner House is our family home and my place to document it all: the old and the new, the polished reveals and imperfect processes, and the projects that make our home feel more like us. Living in a rural area has made me resourceful and shown me that beautiful, meaningful spaces can be created anywhere.
